Staff are very friendly and this just adds to the overall experience. I’m new to Ulverston so I don’t have the nostalgia or pride in this place, but just walking in you can tell it’s an iconic and meaningful place for the town. The theme of old cinema is well done and immersive. Only reason it’s not five stars is that the seats are quite uncomfortable.
A great experience. The staff are friendly, the seating is as comfortable as any standard cinema, and the intermission (and ice cream!) is always welcome. The old style decor adds to the experience. The sound is well monitored too, so no deafening explosions. Well priced, both tickets and food/drink. Highly recommended!
An old fashioned cinema which is pretty much crumbling nice it’s still open but needs refurbishing immediately. Also there is no heat it’s freezing the seats are not comphy and it’s very squashed. I would just go to vue in barrow to be honest.
Completely stuck in the 1940s, it was a surreal experience to have an interval during a screening, the whole atmosphere of the places is very old fashioned. The staff were okay and cash is preferred which is a bit dodgy.
A lovely nostalgic atmosphere to see a film, feels like more than just seeing a film, but a night out
Fantastic cinema. Welcoming...Lovely atmosphere in the 1937 building... Wonderful 👍 …
We love coming to this cinema. It is really welcoming and we particularly enjoy the fact there is an interval where you can get ice cream. It is really reasonably priced and all my family ( 2 teenage boys and my husband) love watching films here. Highly recommended
Great old cinema with good quality picture and sound. The intermission is always welcome if not a blast from the past. Friendly and hard working staff.
